Auckland Gardens

Auckland Gardens are operated by Auckland Project and Auckland Town Council. Originally the 10 acres of land had been landscaped for the Prince Bishops of Durham. To this very day they work to give the land a glory that they once had.

Auckland Gardens has a variety of things to explore and experience from the Walled Gardens to the Paradise Garden. In addition, there are cafes and restaurants that you can visit for a bite to eat. The fruit and vegetables sold in them are grown in the Walled Gardens.

• Most of the gardens are wheelchair accessible. Parts that aren’t are marked with signs.. In addition, wheelchairs and mobility scooters can be rented.
• Buildings on the ground are accessible to wheelchairs.
