Brancepeth Castle was originally made many years ago and has been passed through a number of hands, currently being owned by the Dobson family (who are very hands-on with running the castle and its attached holiday flat). Visitors can go on tours of the castle, attend a yearly craft fair and hold their wedding at the venue. There is also a small non-residental community known as the Community of the Well, a cafe and occcasional events.

The entrance to the castle is wheelchair accessible. There is a nearby bus stop.
