Browns Rowing Boats

Browns Rowing Boats is the perfect place to rent a private boat to row along the river wear. This is the perfect way to take in the sights of Durham in a different and fun way!

This activity is open everyday from Mid March to Late September for the spring and summer months. Life jackets are available on request for both children and adults. Dogs are also welcome! For any rowers under the age of 16 adult supervision is required.

This is perfect for all of the family to explore or a date with a partner. Many different boats are available for all size groups.

When on the boat you will have been given safety instructions but do not be afraid to ask for help! A map of the river can also be found on the boat as a reminder of where you are going. On this map will also be emergency numbers just in case.

How do I book Browns Rowing Boats?

Simply go to the location of the books and pay the fee per person with a deposit of £10 that is returned to you. There is no need to pre-book.
