Located in Ingleby. Char Chars Plaza is an incredibly unique indoor site with a range of stalls and markets primarily including traditional Asian Culture, whether being food or clothing. The prices available for the traditional Asiatic clothing is amazing. From £50 £20 for a salwar kameez. The clothing available is colourful and embroidered. There is a huge array of sweets you may choose to treat yourself to during Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr (after Ramadan). The staff are friendly and always on hand to help you if you need support. The décor is plain clean white with the names for the brands above the shops themselves. The floor is monotone white colour. Therefore making the vibrant and colour full clothing, accessories and food stand out. So, if you want to experience traditional Punjabi cultural dress and food this may be the place to go.

Accessibility

There is a ramp entrance to Char Char’s Plaza. The doorway is wide. Sadly, there are no toilets within the plaza itself. Furthermore, the changing rooms in many of the stores are extremely narrow. There is extraordinarily little room for a person in a wheelchair to try on the clothing. Whilst the staff are not trained specifically to work with those who are neurologically divergent, they are available to help to the best of their ability. Furthermore, Char Char’s Plaza are qualified in equality and diversity. The monotone flooring may help with those who have dementia as some interpret pat turned flooring as uneven and feel very insecure on their feet. However, being compact can cause issues for some wheelchair users.
