If you like rides and wild animals you will love this.
I wouldn’t recommend staying in the caravan park because the caravans are too small for someone with access needs to move around.
The Flamingo Land theme park in Yorkshire dates back to 1959. It was created by entrepreneur Edwin Pentland, who bought a bankrupt country club to make a zoo out of it. The first animals were pink flamingos. The theme park boasts a variety of rides (of both calm and thrill varieties), as well as a handful of shows and arcades. The zoo hosts a variety of animals of land, air and sea varieties, and multiple food outlets are located around the park. You can also stay on site in one of their holiday homes, with access to extra entertainment and the Splash Zone pool complex.
The park has a first aid location near the main gate. Wheelchairs are available on loan free of charge from the first aid centre, but you need a valid passport or a driving licence. The retail outlets are accessible, as are the arcades, game stalls, food outlets and holiday homes. At the Splash Zone, accessible changing rooms are available by request. Shallow pools and wet chairs are also available.
