Hexham Old Gaol, the oldest gaol in England, tells the history of crime and punishment from 1333 (when it was built) to the Victorian era. You can learn about the infamous Border Revivers, see the dungeon, take guided tours and even go in the stocks! The voluntary staff are able to help you if you need support.
The museum is well equipped with lifts and ramps. Furthermore, audio described tours can be bought. Unfortunately, the staff are not specifically trained to help those who are neurologically diverse. Despite this, they can give support. You will find a good accessible toilet within the Gaol.
