Firstly,York Jorvik Centre opened 40 years ago to help with revolutionary heritage of the Viking times in York to help people understand and visualise what life was like during them times. to help people stay connected to history. in addition,The Jorvik Viking Centre opened in 1984 and was opened by York Archaeological trust.the centre aims to keep the connection to Yorks Viking past alive, allowing people to engage with history in a meaningful way.
