More for the younger kids
They don’t have much to do there now it’s mainly just for the younger kids. However I recommend the train and the big swings.
Lightwater Valley is a theme park that is situated on the outskirts of Ripon. The theme park first opened in 1976 and has been through several different eras. Not to mention, the location used to be a farmland. The centrepiece of the park is a lake.
Things to do at the theme park include a variety of rides, shows and playgrounds. There are also numerous outlets for food and drink within the park.
The park has parking bays near the entrance in addition to having disabled parking spaces.
Assistance dogs are allowed to enter the park. All that is asked of owners is that they are able to keep control of their dogs.
The park has partnered with Nimbus to allow the use of access cards, as well as providing free carer tickets. If you have an alternative access card, please be aware they are unlikely to accept it.
There is a quiet space available to use for anyone that needs it located near the park entrance, in the visitor experience office.
There are accessible toilets throughout the park, as well as a Changing Places facility.
At the entrance, you can find visitor information and first aid.
The park offers wheelchair hire, which can be found at the visitor centre. In addition, a vast majority of the theme park is accessible for wheelchair users.
Furthermore, check out other listings based near York or Harrogate by visiting the Eric Knows website.
