Rosa’s Thai is situated on the Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool. The dock was built in 1871 as a result the restaurant resides in a converted grade 1 warehouse. Brick walls can still be seen and the cast iron pillars supporting the brick arches are still prominent within the building.
The chef Saiphin came from a Thai family in the north of Thailand. She and her mother grew all the food required for their home recipes that where to become part of the restaurant. Starting in London Saiphin believed that it was both financially sensible and respectful to the history to keep the name Rosa’s.
Then other branches begam spreading across the UK. Saiphin qouted “Nothing makes me happier than making people smile with my cooking. I have always loved food and my vision for Rosa’s was always to share this“
