Saltburn Beach

Situated in North Yorkshire, Saltburn-by-the-Sea is a Victorian seaside resort which is an excellent destination for a day trip. Saltburn offers an 8-mile sand and shingle beach which backs onto steep cliffs.

The Saltburn Cliff Lift is the UK’s oldest water-powered funicular, and it offers commanding views of the North Sea. The lift is wheelchair accessible, and the seafront is flat.

Saltburn Beach’s refreshing seawater is popular amongst swimmers and surfers. But we recommend that you consult a lifeguard for advice on keeping safe at the beach.

Travellers who prefer to stay on land can enjoy a walk along the pier or visit Saltburn Miniature Railway and Saltburn Mini Golf.
