Brighton’s Sea Life Centre is the world’s oldest aquarium. It was originally opened in 1872, designed by architect Eugenius Birch (who was responsible for the West Pier). Additionally, it serves as home for many different aquatic creatures (such as turtles, sharks and jellyfish) across multiple zones. For example, there is the Victorian Arcade. As another activity, there is also the opportunity to go on a glass bottom boat across the top of a tank. In addition, there is a cafe and gift shop on site. Numerous events are held frequently.
There are toilets and baby changing facilities on site, and the venue does allow service dogs and guide dogs (however, you have to bring proof that shows you’re taking it for medical and support reasons). Disabled access at the main entrance and ramps are provided. More access information can be found here.
