The Shildon Civic Hall is a community hub of sorts based in Shildon. Their vibrant space includes a lounge, restaurant, function room and bar. These facilities allow the Shildon Civic Hall to cater for a wide selection of activities and events. These include weddings, music gigs, christenings, birthdays and many more. For example the 1st Monday of the month they have the Shildon flower club, and every Monday and Wednesday there is an Infinity dance event. Bare in mind those with specific days may be subject to change.
Their weddings use two main spaces depending on the amount of guests. An intimate setting being the restaurant for up to 60 guests. However, 190 can be hosted in the function room. The venue being on the edge of Timothy Hackworth Park gives it a great setting for wedding pictures with the stand in the bridal picture. For more info click here.
The civic hall function room is available for commercial hire, so can be used for seminars training days, as a rehearsal space or maybe just a social gathering. If this is something you would be interested in click here.
Their events cover a wide taste with things like cover bands, drag nights and quiz nights. If you would like to see what events they have available in the near future be sure to click here.
They have double automatic doors on entrance however there isn’t much information on their website around accessibility, so I would recommend contacting them from here.
If you would like to check out another place in the same area be sure to check out the locomotion museum.
