Formerly a power station, Tate Modern opened in 2000 and hosts a large variety of contemporary art exhibitions alongside some permament displays. They also host tours, workshops, festivals, school learning opportunities and perfomances. The venue also boasts a selection of food and drink venues (including some especially for members of the Tate), a shop and a studio to digitally draw and see your drawing projected onto the walls.
