Located in Sunderland’s Keel Square close to the Sunderland Empire and the Bridges shopping centre, The Botanist is adorned with plants from floor to ceiling. Everywhere you look you’ll see a plant, whether fake, painted, pressed or a drawing. Metal mixes with foliage as a variety of seat types sit under pagoda-like structures and next to exposed brick. The lighting is quite dark, but they offer an outdoor terrace.Â
The Botanist offers a range of options for both eating and drinking. They have speciality and classic cocktails with botanical influences, small plates and sharers, hanging kebabs, varying main meals and a selection of desserts. There are also non-alcoholic cocktails and soft drinks.
The Botanist hosts live music performances every weekend, and on the first Thursday of every month they host a session of musical bingo using their in-house musician. They also have frequent deals and other offers on food and drink.
