The Botanist Newcastle has a relaxed, comfortable and industrialised garden feel about it. There are a range of seating areas to suit all tastes; from a dining table and chairs to the outdoor garden style seating and high tables and chairs. In the centre of the mezzanine, you will find the bar. There is a spiral staircase to the top level where one can see the clock tower from the balcony garden.
The Botanist is famous for its flavoursome cocktails and bar snacks. They do a selection of starters, main meals and puddings as well, with brunch and Sunday roasts also an option. A popular Bingo session is held on the first Thursday of each month, and there is also regular live music and cocktail masterclasses.
Find out more on The Botanist’s website.
There is a lift to the entrance and a well sized accessible bathroom. Most seating areas should be accessible for wheelchairs with the exception of the mezzanine balcony. There are three clearly labelled steps, but the spiral steps are not so clearly marked out. The lighting throughout The Botanist is ambient. Although there is no braille menu, the staff are able to read out your options when necessary. Highchairs are also available.
There are more dining options available nearby in Eldon Square.
