The Marine, originally named the Marine Hotel, opened its doors in 1868 and was home to various unlawful activities until 2013, when it was renovated into a pub and resturant. It boasts a resident ghost; Old Jack, who haunts the boiler room. The Marine offers a range of different food, including starters (such as seasonal soup of the day and halloumi fries), sandwiches & wraps, mains (including fish and chips), burgers and desserts (including ice cream and sorbets). Beverages offered include espressos cappuccinos, iced coffee, herbal teas and beers, wine and spirits.
